Tightened Inventory Leads to Healthy Sales

Today the Wisconsin Regional report from the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association was released with Great News for those of you who may be thinking of selling your home. November 2016’s tightened inventory lead to increases in sales prices and the amount of homes sold compared to 2015!   November sales rose 19 percent compared to November 2015 which assisted in a sales record for the month according to the WRA.  The Kenosha County area saw a 24.6% increase in the amount of homes that sold and a 14.3% increase in home prices.  Great news for the community and home owners!  Racine County incurred even greater increases in sales with a 27.1% increase, the median home price was down a hair though at a -1.7% which is based on homes sold, not asking prices.  Local REALTORS® continued to see tightened inventory in December 2016, will the trend continue for January 2017?  If you are thinking of selling your home now may be the time to get it listed!!  With more buyers seeking homes and less inventory during the winter months the probability of your home selling may be greater.  Selling a home requires a well-thought out game plan.
